Marie-Line G. and Isabelle Gasse

Marie-Line G.

I’ve been a passionate and devoted professional carver for the past 7 years.

My adventure started the day I saw for the first time, live snow carving.  That day something inside so deep telling me that's it! You have to carve, and if not, your life will be meaningless!  And so, I jumped headfirst in the carving adventure, sailing on the ocean of the unknown for many years.  I learned the carving secrets, techniques and artistic self-confidence through the Ice and Snow medium, but for the past 2 years, my carving hunger directed me to sand and wood carving.

And now, I can proudly tell that I am fulfilling my dream of carving full year long in all those different mediums, from snow and ice in winter, too jumped in British Columbia red cedar at Fernie Log Woodshop, to beautiful beaches all around the world.  At least, my artistic work reflects my constant journey to evolve as a person and as a better carver, and to share openly my skills and to celebrate the ephemeral art.

Isabelle Gasse

Québec ( Canada )

Born in a country with harsh winters, it was with her hands in the snow and ice that Isabelle Gasse approached monumental sculpture, in order to sow a little more poetry in the world and allow herself to question it.

Working in several national and international events, including the Quebec Ice Hotel and Carnival, she would alternate the snow suit for sandals and short pants at times! It is therefore, with her heart inked in ephemeral art and natural materials, that she ventures (among other things) into the sand,

Thank you for welcoming her to your idyllic beaches!
